DP Energy and Iberdrola entered a joint venture in early 2021 to develop a 3GW pipeline of Irish offshore wind projects known as the Inis Ealga Marine Energy Park, the Shelmalere Offshore Wind Farm and the Clarus Offshore Wind Farm. The offshore pipeline will directly contribute to Ireland’s climate objective to reduce CO₂ emissions by 51% by 2030 and achieve Net-Zero by 2050. Both companies are focused on developing sustainable projects, which forms a part of the goal of achieving a genuinely green economy.
The joint venture aims to be part of the transformation of the energy industry here in Ireland from fossil fuel to green.
